Twenty-eight year old William David Devane of North Carolina was arrested for stealing over $68k worth of guns and ammo from a gun store in Fayetteville, North Carolina.A total of sixteen semi-automatic weapons were stolen, so they must have been some pretty pricey pieces of hardware. Even if he managed to make off with eight grand of ammo, the guns would have had to have been valued at over $3000 each.

WRAL says he was a heavy truck driver assigned to an airborne division. They also make mention that he also lifted gun sights and magazines. The store owner said the thief evidently knew where everything was, possibly better than some of the employees
